Michael Marostica
As a teenager, Michael washed cars and cut grass at the family owned / operated dealership. That was 25 years ago. Safe to say, it didn’t take long for him to realize his future lay in the automotive industry. After graduating from Lakehead University with a H.B.Com in Economics, Human Resources & Marketing, Michael attended the National Automobile Dealers Association academy in McLean, Virginia. In 2008, his hard work, dedication to and notable success within the industry prepared him to take on the role of dealer principal.
Marostica strives to take a unique, personal approach to selling and servicing vehicles. After purchasing a home, the second biggest investment people make is buying a vehicle. For Michael, his top priority is building lasting relationships with those who walk through the doors.
“It’s personally fulfilling coming to work each day.” says Marostica. “It’s so much more than just selling a vehicle,” he continues. “There is something in having a conversation with a service customer or helping someone find a vehicle that suits their needs while then participating in their excitement upon delivery.”
There are 48 employed at Wayne Toyota. That’s more than double the amount when he started. In that time, the automotive industry has changed along with clients’ expectations and, Michael welcomes the challenge. “We are not always perfect,” he says, “but we strive to learn and adapt every day to our clients’ wants and needs.”
Beyond the business, Michael serves as president of the Northern Toyota Dealer Advertising Association while also sitting on the board of Ontario’s Trillium Automobile Dealers Association (TADA). This, coupled with his formal training and years of experience, “has helped shape who I am now and, why I continue forward in this business.”
Marostica credits his success in the automotive industry to recognizing and caring about both his customers, as well as, his employees. “Without either, we would be in trouble!” he exclaims. “My goal is to have my clients and my employees feel that things are just different here. When you through thats door, I want you to feel the difference.”
Meeting that goal is what Marostica says motivates him every day.
