Allure Medi Spa is more than a leading skin and hair treatment centre. It’s also an anti-aging spa, where “believing in the inner you for self-growth” is the guiding principle.

However, owner Erika Scott concedes her vision has evolved over the years.”

“At one time I wanted to help people who were involved in a serious accident with trauma scars to their faces or bodies,” she explains. “Then I wanted a place that gave every permission to come in, a place that welcomed everyone from visible trauma to emotional trauma. I wanted to support, teach, direct and provide the best treatment I could, even if it meant sending the client to another care provider.

Her personal philosophy is simple: “Our skin is the reflection of the inner being. Our frowns and lines tell a story. So I listen.”

With a staff of three, Allure Medi Spa offers services that include laser hair removal, botox, dermal filler, skin tightening, chemical peel as well as hydrafacial, photofacial and hyperhydrosis.

Her primary role in the field of medical esthetics allows Erika to teach, plan and direct care on a personal level, where she treats “each person as an individual with their own needs, wants and dreams.”

A registered nurse, Erika has four decades of experience in a hospital setting, including seven years as manager of a surgical unit. At one point she took a nine-month esthetics course, which led her to develop and own the first accredited esthetics school in Thunder Bay, Northwestern Ontario School of Esthetics. She developed and was directly involved with several other clinics prior to ownership of Allure Medi Spa.“This has allowed me to live my dream in consulting, helping and supporting clients from all walks of life, from young to old,” Erika says.

By emphasizing the uniqueness of individual clients, she is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest developments.

“I will continue to grow with the industry through ongoing education,” she says. “It is important to continue to learn new techniques to meet and deliver the needs of the clients, to assess their needs and to teach the importance of loving themselves.”
