Perfect Fit Lingerie and Fashion is more than just bras

When Suzan Cooper Rochon returned to Thunder Bay with her family in 2006, she had in mind a specialized business. While living in Winnipeg she managed a friend’s lingerie shop and fell in love with the experience.

“I’ve always enjoyed retail and helping women, and this is the type of business that gives me the opportunity to do both,” she says.

he says. Before launching Perfect Fit Lingerie and Fashion, she researched lingerie shops in Thunder Bay, looking for any that specialized in professional bra fittings and that carried a wide cup size and style range of attractive bras.

Unable to find a bricksand-mortar shop that did so, she decided to embark on a retail journey and open her own unique store.

At Perfect Fit, women can count on professional bra fittings in a comfortable environment. There is an excellent selection of beautifully-designed bras from A to JJ cup. Also available are cup-sized sports bras, nursing bras and swimwear.

Perfect Fit also carries Canadian designed and manufactured clothing as well as cruisewear and sleepwear, from flannel PJs to bridal chemises. Let’s not forget the men: you will find a large selection of SAXX underwear, swim shorts and T-shirts at Perfect Fit.

T-shirts at Perfect Fit. Staff have additional specialized training in postmastectomy and post surgical bras, as well as prosthetics, all of which are in stock. Fitters go through a minimum three months of bra-fitting training before they can fit someone on their own.

“As we work one-on-one with our clients, we want to be sure they are comfortable and have a pleasant experience,” Susan says.

She credits her success to a supportive family that understand the joys and demands of running a small business. At work she counts on “an amazing team of smart, dedicated, caring women who understand what customer service means.”

What is the most satisfying aspect of the business?

“The relationships we build with our clients,” she replies. “And when clients are happy with the customer service experience they’ve received, we’re happy too.”
